Weight Watchers Ranked #1 Best Weight-Loss Diet by U.S. News & World Report for Fifth Year in a Row

2015 Best Diets review also gives us top ranking again in Best Commercial Diet Plan and Easiest Plan to Follow categories.

We’re excited to report that Weight Watchers once again reigns supreme in the 2015 Best Diets rankings from U.S. News & World Report, earning the top spot in three categories: Best Weight-Loss Diet, Best Commercial Plan — each for the fifth consecutive year — and Easiest Plan to Follow (which we’ve been awarded since the category was added four years ago).

“We’re honored to be recognized at the highest level for five straight years by the experts at U.S. News & World Report,” said Lesya Lysyj, President of North America, Weight Watchers International. “The motivation, accountability and support we provide to millions of members around the world are crucial to navigating our complex relationship with food.”

Although too new to be factored into the most recent U.S. News & World Report rankings, 24/7 Expert Chat and our Personal Coaching experience bring the power of human connection to members through increased personalization. Our Personal Coaches can customize the Weight Watchers plan to fit members’ individual lifestyles and schedules and provide one-on-one support via phone, email or text. Coaches also create a tailored action plan to keep members motivated and on track to reach their goals. Weight Watchers OnlinePlus now includes 24/7 Expert Chat, giving members access to a Weight Watchers Coach any time of the day. With this improved digital offering, members can follow the Plan completely online using interactive tools and mobile apps.

With an ever-growing body of research supporting our approach to weight loss, we’re proud to be doing our part to prevent obesity and help Americans change their relationship with food for good.

How the rankings are determined: U.S. News & World Report’s expert panel consisted of nationally recognized experts in diet, nutrition, obesity, human behavior, diabetes and heart health. The experts conducted an in-depth assessment of 35 diet plans, ranking them in seven categories: Short-term weight loss, long-term weight loss, ease of compliance, nutritional completeness, health risks and ability to prevent or manage diabetes and heart disease. The experts rated each diet from 1 to 5 in each of the categories.
